Roadshow six sheet poster, a little oversized even for six sheets - 84 inches by 84 inches - with art by the remarkable Howard Terpning. Terpning conceived of Cleopatra lounging imperiously with Antony and Caesar each looking over her --- and looking her over! Roadshow posters were designed specifically for the exclusive 70mm reserved seat engagements. The studios put their best efforts into creating these posters and CLEOPATRA is no exception.
One of the most famous movies ever, made the image on this poster is one of the most famous illustrations ever created to promote a film. A huge image of this art hung over the Rialto Theater on Broadway in the summer of 1963 to lure movie fans into the theater.
